Membership

While everyone is welcome to row with us, some people may want to become more involved with the workings of the boathouse and the organization by becoming voting members of Village Community Boathouse.

Voting members are allowed to vote at our annual meeting where we elect board members and make important decisions such as changes to the bylaws.

Before being considered for voting membership, you must become known by others at the boathouse by showing up to row or build on a regular basis and volunteering to help with community rowing and special events. Then you may submit a formal request to the board of directors. Your membership will then be voted on by the board.

In order to sustain voting membership, individuals must come to the boathouse and volunteer at least six times over the course of the season and pay annual dues of $35. Currently we have about 60 voting members.
